Abstract

CAST.FSM is applied to the problem of controller decomposition for ASIC design automation purposes. Requirements and extensions are investigated to integrate the interactive method bank CAST.FSM into the design process and to make it fully applicable. A re-implementation of selected functions is presented and decomposition results and calculation times for the MCNC benchmark FSMs are discussed.
