Abstract
Today, vehicle manufacturers are producing high-volume cars with features that, only a few years ago, would have been limited to prestige models. Whether in driver assistance and safety technologies, powertrain systems, infotainment or body electronics, microprocessors are critical to the development. Multicore processors help to save space, improve reliability and ultimately to reduce cost. This ARM paper portrays features and potential of multicore processing technology.
