Reversible chemical reactions in the unified field theory of thermodynamics

Abstract

Gyarmati's governing principle of dissipative processes is used to derive the constitutive equations in the case of reversible chemical reactions and other process — reverse process combinations. Theoretical justification of Marcelin's treatment of such processes is given.
