Abstract

High resolution γ spectrometry is being used to determine Iγ relative and absolute intensity values of transactinium nuclides. Initial results for237Np and233Pa are presented. The rapid determination of Pu isotopic composition by γ spectrometry and isotopic correlation is also discussed. The most important conclusion to be drawn is that the calibration of the detector and the quality of the data used for this calibration is the most crucial part of most measurements.
