Abstract
The hosts of 106 species of entomogenous fungi known from Britain are catalogued. Host-specificity is most marked in the genusEntomophthora, in which ten species are mainly restricted to single orders of arthropods, although two other species are among those fungi that exhibit no specificity.
Résumé
Un catalogue des hôtes des 106 espèces de champignons entomopathogènes connus de Grande-Bretagne est donné dans la première partie avec les citations correspondantes de la littérature. Plusieurs couples hôte-parasite sont mentionnés ici pour la première fois. La seconde partie est la récapitulation des hôtes présentés dans une liste alphabétique des champignons. La spécificité est la plus marquée dans le genreEntomophthora dont 10 espèces sont presque entièrement confinées aux arthropodes d’un seul ordre. En revanche, 7 espèces de champignons parmi lesquellesBeauveria spp. et deux espèces d’Entomophthora ne manifestent aucune spécificité.
