Comment on ‘The low temperature electric quadrupole orientation of184Ir and185Ir in rhenium’

Abstract

It is shown that the assignment of a 7/2[503] neutron configuration to the ground state of184Ir by Allsop et al. [1] is inconsistent with the measured quadrupole moment of this state.
