Summary
The photosynthetic CO2-uptake of leaves is described in terms of a physicophysiological process. Quantitative determinations of diffusion resistances and partial processes are of advantage for further research on the action of exogenous and endogenous factors.
The possibilities for breeding on photosynthetic efficiency are discussed.
Different possibilities for regulative interrelationsships between source and sinks are evaluated and demonstrated in a simple scheme.
