Abstract
The open chemical nonequilibrium model, proposed by Kondepudi and Nelson to study the chiral-symmetry-breaking phenomenum, is analysed by the inclusion of the racemization process responsible for the interconversion of left- and right-enantiomers. We study the steady states of the chemical system as a function of the matter pumping and of the racemization rate.
