Summary
100 cases of idiopathic Pseudotumor cerebri (cryptogenetic intracranial hypertension) are analysed. The clinical and laboratory features are briefly described. The data are compared with similar data from the literature and the relevant therapeutic procedures are summarised.
Of this series 81 cases were followed up for a period ranging from 3 months to 10 years. The course was favourable for 80 of them, irrespective of the treatment given. The average duration of the syndrome, on the basis of 36 cases, was 10 weeks.
