Abstract
Previous investigations of nuclear resonance fluorescence from79Br have been improved by using a Ge-detector. In addition, energies and intensities of theγ transitions initiated by the decay of79Kr have been remeasured. Coincidences between theγ transitions were investigated using two 40 ccm Ge-detectors. 14γ transitions unknown up to the present have been identified. A level scheme having 12 excited states is proposed. Unique assignments of spin and parity to the 7 lowest states became possible by the present and former experimental data.
