Abstract

We present results on14C radioactivity of221Ra and221Fr obtained by irradiating at ISOLDE a 4π assembly of solid state track detectors. The preliminary branching ratios relative toα decay come out to be (1.9∓1.3) 10−12 and (1.0±0.2) 10−12, respectively.
