Evidence of a large, ramified mitochondrium inChlamydomonas reinhardii

Summary

As a result of reconstruction from serial sections, a large, highly reticulated mitochondrium was found in gamete cells ofChlamydomonas. Three of four cells examined showed one to four small, unreticulated mitochondria in addition to the one referred to.
