Polymer Mechanics Aims and scope

Abstract

A method of determining the complex modulus of elasticity of soft viscoelastic materials is proposed. This method is based on the measurement of the dynamic characteristics of a three-layer symmetrical bar, in which the investigated material forms the middle layer, and on the subsequent calculation of the characteristics of the soft material from the experimental data obtained.
