By the reaction of zirconium tetrachloride with zirconium tetraacetylacetonate, tetrakisdibenzoylmethanate, and tetrakis (3-butylacetylacetonate) at definite molar ratios we obtained triacetylacetonatozirconium chloride and the previously unknown bisdibenzoylmethanatozirconium dichloride, bis(3-butylacetylacetonato)zirconium dichloride, and (3-butylacetylacetonato)zirconium trichloride.

By the reaction of dicyclopentadienylzirconium dihalides with zirconium tetraacetylacetonate we obtained diacetylacetonatocyclopentadienylzirconium chloride and bromide.
