Conclusions

  1. 1.

    A device was developed permitting measurement of the carbon potential of carburizing media with any activity, even exceeding unity.

  2. 2.

    Tests of the automatic control system showed that it is possible to control the carbon potential of carburizing media by means of the carburizing rate.
