Abstract

We describe two techniques for joining multifilamentary Nb-Ti superconducting wire. Both methods have achieved critical currents in vacuum at 4.2K comparable to the manufacturer's stated short segment rating. The techniques are simple and applicable to a wide variety of experimental apparati.
