Abstract

Data on 12 novae in M31 discovered on plates obtained with wide-field telescopes in Crimea and Latvia during 1977–1990 are reported. A number of Novac discovered by the authors of this paper and by other authors are used to revise the maximum magnitude versus rate of decline relation., It is shown that the luminosity of the very bright and very fast, Novae is higher than usually assumed.
