Fatal, suicidal chloroquine poisonings

Summary

Chemical analysis is discussed in connection with four fatal chloroquine poisonings. Identification and quantitation of the poison extracted from the organs was performed by thin-layer chromatography, ultraviolet and infrared spectroscopy. This paper is to present detailed data on distribution of the poison in various organs.

Znsammenfassung

Tödliche, suicidale Chloroquinvergiftungen. An Hand von vier beobachteten, tödlichen Chloroquinvergiftungen wird die chemisch-toxikologische Analyse des Stoffes diskutiert. Die Identifizierung und quantitative Bestimmung des aus Organen extrahierten Giftstoffes geschieht mit Dünnschichtchromatographie, Ultraviolett- und Infrarotspektroskopie. Die Arbeit bringt detaillierte Angaben über die Verteilung des Giftstoffes in verschiedenen Organen.
