Abstract

Extended Hückel calculations have been carried out on the sexual hormones estradiol, estrone, estriol, equilin, equilenin, testosterone, androstendione, androsterone, and progesterone. The calculated energies, charge distributions and dipole moments are discussed and compared with experimental results. The charge distributions are also calculated by means of a combined “Del Re-Hückel” method.
