Abstract
2-Carbethoxy-3-phenylazoindoles, which are reduced to 2-carbethoxy-3-acetamidoindoles, were obtained by diazo coupling of 2-carbethoxyindoles with benzene diazonium chloride. Some transformations of these compounds were studied.
