Abstract
The present chapter discusses the various dye for the staining of nucleic acid in flow cytometry. The DNA-binding dye should be specific for DNA and should bind stoichiometric to the DNA content. With the help of DNA flow cytometry one can assess the ploidy and cell proliferative fraction of tumour.
