Abstract

COVID-19 has created several socio-cultural, economic, and psychological impacts on the tourism industry. This paper provides an insight into the need to advance our disaster management strategies as well as to revitalize the pandemic capacity in the restoration of tourist destinations of Asian countries. The paper discusses the following research questions: first, to explore of new normalities for the restoration of the destination image of Asian destinations in the Post-COVID-19 Era; second, to examine hypothetically the differential perceptions of stakeholders towards minimising the socio-cultural and environmental impacts. The ruling regimes of Asian countries are lined up to propose new operating guidelines aimed at protecting workers from diverse socio-economic activities; safeguarding and ensuring social distancing and enforcing universal health and hygiene standards. Keeping in mind the purpose and essence of the research issue, this research paper uses approaches that require a qualitative analytical approach and focuses more on the fundamental aspects. This paper is structured in a conceptual framework that will help to recognize and understand the key issues facing Asian tourist destinations with a view to have a better experience. From both theoretical and managerial perceptions, these challenges can be discussed. Source reviews say that the struggle to cope with the complexities of socio-economic anarchy in different Asian regions was a completely foreign experience, and the socio-cultural and traditional climate of many Asian countries was influenced by alienation and isolation.
