Abstract
Water safety plans with a comprehensive analysis of risk management and risk assessment to provide safe and clean drinking water supply across the globe have been implemented. Global Hygiene and Drinking Water Analysis and Assessment (GLAAS) works with an objective to provide decision makers and policy makers a reliable, accessible, global analysis of the investments being enforced for providing the safety of drinking water, and maintaining hygiene and sanitation. WHO and UNICEF have initiated a Joint Monitoring Programme (JMP) that monitors the progress of WASH across all the countries. CDC has developed Safe Water System (SWS), a household water treatment system, that promotes behavioral changes to obtain a cost-effective and long-term solution.
