One Step Separation of Membranes of Cyanobacterium by Linear Gradient Floatation Centrifugation

Abstract

Cyanobacterium is composed of three different membranes; thylakoids, plasma membranes and outer membranes. Among them, thylakoid membranes account for more than 95 % of total membranes. Little is known about function and protein components of plasma and outer membranes.
