Abstract
Earlier, we described mutants of R. meliloti SU47 deficient in extracellular polysaccharide (EPS) that make aberrant Fix- nodules1,2. Here, we report on other symbiotic mutants with altered lipopolysaccharide (LPS), and also on alterations in the membranes of bacteroids.
