Abstract
Pyrenophora teres (Died.) Drechs. is the causal agent of net blotch of barley that has become in the last ten years one of the most widespread barley leaf mycoses in Slovakia due to the absence of resistent cultivars in present local assortment. From the viewpoint of new biological material creation with resistance to this facultative parasite the analysis of the Slovak population aimed at symptoms production, culture morphology, virulence, molecular differentiation has been carried out. All these parametres studied showed high level of inter-and intrapopulation variability.
