Data l’importanza del neutrino nella fisica delle interazioni fondamentali, in cosmologia e nella fisica solare, sono stati effettuati molti esperimenti al fine di determinarne la massa. Ciononostante, le nostre conoscenze sono ancora incerte: infatti le misure più accreditate forniscono solo il limite superiore delia massa, peraltro compatibile con massa zero.
