Abstract

The present studies illustrate the utility of biomarkers that occur systemically in skin fibroblasts of patients with hereditary adenomatosis of the colon and rectum, an autosomal dominant trait. These biomarkers provide insight into the initiated cell phenotype, susceptibility mechanisms, genetic alterations during colorectal cancer, and potential therapeutic approaches.
