Zusammenfassung
In neueren Arbeiten, wie z.B. Radford (1986, 1988, 1990), Guilfoyle & Noonan (1988), Lebeaux (1988), Platzack (1989), wird die Hypothese aufgestellt, daß Äußerungen von Kindern in einer sehr frühen Phase keine funktionalen Kategorien enthalten, also keine C-, I- und D-Projektionen, sondern nur maximale Projektionen der lexikalischen Kategorien N, A, V, P.
