Zusammenfassung
Wie bereits in den gesetzlichen Bestimmungen verankert, ist das Tragen von geeigneten Schutzbrillen bei jeglicher Art von Laserbehandlung eine Selbstverständlichkeit. Während es bei Lasern, die im sichtbaren Licht arbeiten, aufgrund der Transmission durch Linse und Bulbus zu thermischen Schädigungen der Retina mit der Konsequenz einer Herabsetzung der Sehschärfe oder sogar der Erblindung kommen kann, ist bei den Lasern, die im Gewebe und in Wasser absorbiert werden, in Abhängigkeit von der Intensität der Laserstrahlung eine Schädigung der Hornhaut [12] bzw. des vorderen Kammerabschnittes zu erwarten.
