Paleozoic Arctic Margin of North America

  • Chapter
The Geology of Continental Margins

Abstract

Several excellent regional syntheses of the Paleozoic geology of Arctic North America have been published. For a more detailed and fuller account of any area, the reader should consult the reference list and, in particular, Brosgé and Dutro (1973), Churkin (1973), Lathram (1973), D.K. Norris (1973), Douglas et al. (1968), Dawes and Soper (1973), and Trettin et al. (1972). These and other papers are the main foundation for the concepts presented in the present synthesis. This is supplemented by the author’s field experience in the Canadian Arctic Islands and regional studies in Arctic and western North America.
