Zusammenfassung
Automatisierter Journalismus beschreibt die Erstellung journalistischer Inhalte durch Algorithmen. Dieser Prozess umfasst die Sammlung, Aufbereitung und Identifikation berichtenswerter Daten sowie die journalistische Veröffentlichung. Unterschiedliche Ausprägungen von automatisiertem Journalismus lassen sich dabei anhand (1) der genutzten Technologie, (2) der angestrebten Arbeitsprozesse und (3) der verfolgten Ziele klassifizieren. Generell fällt auf, dass nicht bislang von Menschen ausgeübte Aufgaben automatisiert, sondern durch Skalierungseffekte neue Beiträge für kleinste Zielpublika rentabel werden. Lesefreundlichkeit darf dabei indes nur eine untergeordnete Rolle spielen. Der Beitrag schließt mit einer Übersicht möglicher theoretischer Anknüpfungspunkte für automatisierten Journalismus.
