Zusammenfassung
Die Wirtschaftswelt hat sich verändert, und damit die Gesellschaft und die Arbeit. Der Begriff Creative Class beschreibt eine über die letzten Jahrzehnte entstandene Klasse an kreativ tätigen Menschen in unterschiedlichen Bereichen. Die Creative Class lässt sich auf verschiedene Arten definieren und umfasst Künstler, kreative Industrien, aber auch herkömmliche Wirtschaftsbereiche. Verbindende Werte sind unter anderem Autonomie, der Wunsch nach Freiräumen, flexiblen Arbeitszeiten und -orten und Sinn in der Tätigkeit. Kreativität ist gerade für die Arbeit in der Kreativwirtschaft zentral und wird als Prozess und Leistung einer Gruppe (nicht eines Einzelgenies) verstanden und benötigt ein unterstützendes Umfeld. In kreativwirtschaftlichen Arbeitsmärkten gibt es viele verschiedene Akteure mit unterschiedlichsten Karrieren und Einkommen sowie freiberuflichen und bisweilen prekären Beschäftigungsverhältnissen. Besonderes Merkmal von Arbeit in der Kreativwirtschaft ist die Projektarbeit. Dazu gehört auch im Bereich „Creative Entrepreneurship“, eine wirtschaftliche Unternehmung aufzuziehen, indem intellektuelles Kapital geschaffen und genutzt wird. Die Produktion in der Kreativwirtschaft zeichnet sich im Gegensatz zu anderen Branchen durch besondere Eigenheiten aus wie: „nobody knows“ (Unsicherheit), „infinite variety“ (unendliche Vielfalt), „time flies“ (die Zeit rennt), „ars longa“ (fortwährende Kunst), „motley crew“ (der bunte Haufen), „A-list/B-list“ (vertikale Differenzierung) und „art for art’s sake“ (die Kunst um der Kunst willen). Die Digitalisierung verstärkt einige dieser Kennzeichen noch, wobei Medien „konvergieren“ und die Rolle von Produzenten und Konsumenten nicht mehr strikt getrennt ist.
