The Use of Acyclovir in the Treatment of Herpes Zoster Ocular Infections

  • Conference paper
Herpetische Augenerkrankungen

Summary

Eighteen patients with ocular herpes zoster involvement were treated with either topical Acycloguanosine (n = 13) or intravenous therapy (n = 5). The preliminary results compare favourably with the results of therapy reported in the literature. Only one patient required topical steroids. Further controlled studies are required.
