Complex Coacervation: Microcapsule Formation

  • Chapter

Abstract

Simple and complex coacervation and the various theories of coacervation are reviewed. The Tainaka theory, which is the most broadly based of all the theories, was considered the most generally applicable. However this theory alone does not give a full explanation of the coacervation process.
