Preparation of Metaphase Chromosomes

  • Chapter

Abstract

Chromosome preparations can principally be obtained from all tissues and suspensions in which mitoses occur. The initiation of cell cultures particularly suitable for chromosomal analysis owing to abundant mitoses, has been described in Chapters I and II. Tissues obtained directly from biopsies are also suitable for chromosome preparations.
