Abstract

The depiction and evaluation of structures of the human skin mainly of dermatosises as e. g. melanoma is of increasing importance in today’s medical diagnosis. The coming up of laser diodes with certain coherence properties resulted in the research on a new noninvasive method called optical coherence tomography (OCT).
