Das Denken von Patientinnen mit Anorexia nervosaim akuten Zustand der Starvation erscheint i. d. R. stark eingeengt und starr. Psychotherapeutische Maßnahmen sind in dieser Phase deshalb z. T. nur schwer möglich oder wenig effektiv. Umso erstaunlicher ist es, dass ein Großteil der Patientinnen es dennoch schafft, relativ stabile schulischberufliche Leistungen aufrechtzuerhalten.
