Abstract
When there are so many different extensions of the core to partition function form games, there must be a way to make a choice. One is axiomatisation: like the early results on the expectation functions presented at the end of the last chapter it helps to understand the properties of a solution. Here we look at the other approach, implementation. In implementation we try to model the coalition formation process by a noncooperative game whose equilibrium coincides with the core. In this chapter we survey the results on the implementation of the core.
