Ubekosibir, Navigation Safety Administration of the Kara Sea and the Estuaries of Siberian Rivers – a regional authority evolved out of Ob.-Yenisei Hydrographical Party (established in 1920) in 1922. U. was subordinate to the Hydrographical Department. In 1933 the Hydrographical Department of Glavsevmorput was established in Leningrad. U. was subordinated to the former.
