Abstract

We describe the implementation of a Fourier transform holographic setup capable to acquire flash images with 1 ns temporal resolution and 130 nm spatial resolution utilizing a soft X-ray (SXR) table-top laser. Sub-micron scale pillars oscillating at frequencies around 1 MHz were imaged by single shot laser pulses allowing for the composition of “movies” of the oscillating pillars by combining a sequence of single shot images.
