Abstract
I was introduced to fuzzy logic by professor Pedro Burillo in a great conference of him in Madrid on expert systems and fuzzy logic. After meeting him, I travelled monthly to Pamplona to discuss the S-T -composition with him until he left the university to move onto his political career.
Meeting Enric Trillas was by sheer chance. I had missed the deadline to submit papers to the Estylf spanish Fuzzy Logic and Technology congress in Oviedo in 1996 so my paper was not bound in the proceedings volume and when Enric dropped it saw the title of my presentation and came to the session. That lucky detail fully changed my life. During that presentation, I was also lucky enough to be asked by professor Valverde, on the uselessness of considering any triangular conorm in the composition but only in the maximum operator. Thanks to that question I met Enric, who helped that defenseless student to deal with concepts much beyond his primary beginners work, as he used to do with so many other students doing smart recommendations and giving useful references. Valverde worked with Enric on the characterization of T -indistinguishabilities, one of the most important theoretic theorems in fuzzy logic.
