Abstract

Projection fusion technology plays an important role in the domain of multimedia display. It implements many functions such as seamless splicing and color enhancement by the treatment of multiple projectors’ projection fusion. At present, projection fusion technology can be used to seamless splicing of large projection screen, but the carriers of projection still remain in the level of 2D or 2.5D. However, the fusion method for the 3D entity projection has more complex factors except the simple overlap of the illumination. This paper bases on the existing fusion technology, and makes up for the mistake of uncontrollable optical path in the 3D projection fusion technology using image deformation. By improving the algorithm of MLS Image Deformation, the algorithm of MLS image deformation can be adapted to the calculation of the GPU framework to dispose of sequences of projection. The paper provides a visual effect of the fusion technology by the projection experiments, and makes the comparison of efficiency between the common algorithm and the improved algorithm of this paper.
