Abstract
Health care area has been experimenting with many technological resources over the years, and the introduction of computers to this area was itself a great change. Now with the internet and more recently cloud computing, paradigm shifts are about to happen again. The main objective of this article is to present an algorithm that allows access to a patient’s medical records through smartphones, so that medical care is faster, as well as allowing doctors to monitor their patients’ health. For that solution we used geolocation tools, a mathematical calculation based on a secure access area, and also a software development framework. As a result we have security items that can be applied where access needs to be monitored.
