Abstract
A series of trials was carried out in Senegal, Niger and Burkina Faso with the principal aim of investigating the potential of an oil-based formulation of spores (conidia) of an entomopathogenic fungus, Metarhizium flavoviride Gams and Roszypal, for locust and grasshopper control. The acridian species to be controlled in our trials were Hieroglyphus daganensis (Krauss, 1877), Kraussella amabile (Krauss, 1877), Zacompsa festa Karsch, Oedaleus senegalensis (Krauss, 1877) and Zonocerus variegatus (Linnaeus).
