Abstract

Cryptography and steganography algorithms are utilized along with wavelets based approach to enhance the data security during data transmission in network. The important characteristic of data transmission is to transmit the data among sender and receiver in a secure manner. Hence this survey focused on how cryptography and steganographic techniques are appropriate for data broadcasting by sending messages within covert data in the form of either images or audios or videos. Several researchers found that cryptographic algorithm like RSA and DES helps for data encryption and steganographic algorithms such as MSB, LSB suitable for decrypt the information in the form of stegno. Also, water marking methods were applied for protecting the data from hackers during data transmission.
