Abstract

In this chapter the clinical, epidemiological, and imaging characteristics of glioneuronal and neuronal tumors are reviewed. These are mainly slow growing tumors affecting predominantly children, adolescents, and young adults, many of those are typically associated with epilepsia such as dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumor, ganglioglioma or multinodular and vacuolating neuronal tumor. Some tumors of this group are significantly rare such as the extraventricular neurocytoma or the cerebellar liponeurocytoma. A detailed review of all the imaging characteristics of these tumors is provided.
