Abstract

The implementation of green hydrogen and renewable energies in the electricity system is increasingly important in the context of decarbonization and climate change. This paper presents studies that show the impact on energy prices in the event of replacing thermal power stations in an electrical system with wind power stations. And a second study that analyzes the impacts on energy prices if surplus wind energy is used to produce green hydrogen. To calculate the energy, congestion and losses prices, an algorithm was developed for the calculation of Locatinal Marginal Price (LMP) that will allow, through the knowledge of the cost data, to determine the marginal price on each bus. An algorithm was implemented to evaluate the Prices associated with Hydrogen production which allowed the determination of the marginal Price in each bus due to Hydrogen. For the realization of all the studies presented in this paper was developed software in Matlab for optimization and for all necessary calculations.
