Abstract

The paper presents the results of finite element analysis (Ansys) of personalized bone fixation plates for LeFort I osteotomy. Personalized bone fixation plates were designed on the maxilla model with local individual material properties, obtained from CT scans. Maxilla model with osteotomy was loaded with three load cases of bite forces with a value of 200 N were analyzed and then a static analysis was carried out for each situation. The results showed that titanium plates withstand the set stresses and there is no damage to bones and stabilization plates.
