Abstract
The spinal nerves, mixed and paired nerves, 31 in number, emerge from the spinal cord and innervate the whole body, except the face. Each nerve contains somatic and vegetative afferent sensory and autonomic afferent fibers by the communicating branches and the sinuvertebral nerve of Luschka with its innervation of the disc and the posterior longitudinal ligament. The ratios are described in different stages with root anomalies. There is a double ventral and dorsal territory of innervation of the spine. The root in the foramen is the essential element of the ventral innervation and conflicts arise between findings observed on MR Imaging and with the direct vision of foraminoscopy. The medial branch of the primary dorsal branch is the target of rhizotomy in the dorsal arthrotransverse area.
